You were in the studio with Joe Jonas recently. Can you talk about what you two have been working on?

He's obviously working on a solo album. And I went into the studio with him and DJ Hans. And our goal was to write singles. We did two up-tempo records, and my goal with him was to push him vocally and show the world that there's a voice there that they never heard before. Because you know when you're in a group, there isn't much a distinction because there's two other guys -- his brothers -- that were part of Jonas Brothers. So I really wanted to make some kind of thing where people would say, "Holy s---, he could really sing."

The chorus on one of them is really high and really shows that he could hit those notes and really control them. The lyrics are a little edgier, a little sexier. Everything is up-tempo, dark and fun, and he's selling it. He's really coming into that male sex symbol star that we're really missing right now. Obviously Usher is a big sex symbol and so is Justin Timberlake, but there hasn't been a new sex symbol that the girls scream over in a while. And I think he encompasses that a lot.

Ashley Greene admits she didn’t feel love at first sight with Joe Jonas.

The ‘Twilight Saga’ actress – who split from the Jonas Brothers star earlier this month after nine months together – believes friendship is the most important factor in starting a lasting relationship.

Asked if she felt love at first sight with Joe, Ashley said: “A friendship developed first, and that’s the most important thing for me. If you are going to be with someone all the time, they need to be your best friend.”

The 24-year-old beauty also admitted communication is important to her, but she isn’t interested in what has happened in the past to her boyfriends, particularly with their old relationships.

In an interview with America’s Glamour magazine conducted before she split from Joe, Ashley said: “You need to be able to talk about the difficult things. I don’t want us to talk about our ex-boyfriends or ex- girlfriends. The past is the past. As long as it’s not a mass-murderer past! You’re with the person who you’re with as they are now.”

Ashley is aware she is a role model for young people and doesn’t want to do anything in public that could tarnish her image.

She said: “I keep to the ground rules. I’m not going to get drunk at a bar. There are younger girls who look up to me. So I do my best not to stray too far.

Enrique Iglesias has dropped out of Britney Spears' upcoming Femme Fatale tour and Joe Jonas is now a top candidate to replace him, reports Zap2It. Joe on his music: 'The dance element is where my heart is. Most of the songs are love-related, but I put the responsibility on myself to try to grab their ears again.'

The tour may be the perfect opportunity for Joe to reach a more adult audience. Joe's set would be more scaled back, focusing only on his solo material. Talks are in early stages. Joe's album expected to release late summer/ early fall.

Recently eliminated American Idol contestant Karen Rodriguez, visited “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” to discuss her whirlwind Idol journey and plans for her future. However, Ryan had a special surprise guest for her…none other then Nick Jonas!
In Karen’s last appearance on “American Idol,” she had mentioned her sister Karol’s infatuation with the youngest member of the Jonas Brothers. After leaving the stage Ryan promptly called Joe Jonas attempting to coordinate a meeting between his younger brother Nick and Karen.
Meanwhile, altogether unaware Karen continued her interview by discussing how her life has changed in these few short days since American Idol stating, “You never know how many fans you have, how many people are watching until you are eliminated. Thats when everything starts happening. All the tweets I’ve been getting. All the fans. You never know how much you impact people, and you touch people’s hearts.”
Karen went on to thank her supportive family for encouraging her to follow her dreams. Particularly her younger sister Karol who said, ‘You can go to ‘American Idol’ just so that I can meet Nick Jonas.’”
Then the unimaginable happened for Karen. After Ryan worked some of his magic, Nick Jonas walked into the studio to surprise her. “Oh, my God! This tops my ‘American Idol’ experience.”
Karen went on to serenade Nick with her own rendition of his hit “Burning Up,” and to describe the extent of her sister Karol’s admiration of Nick. The surprise visit truly helped make Karol’s dream come true. “This is the highlight of my life!” said Karen, after meeting Nick.
Nick then made a call to Karol at home, receiving a shocking reply of, “Oh my God! This is amazing!” At Karen’s request, Nick serenades Karol with his hit “When I Look You In The Eyes,” leading Karol to tears crying “you are a really beautiful person.”
This touching turn of events ends with Karen telling her sister, “I did it for you…I am so glad I made your dream come true. I love you!…This was my purpose, I fulfilled my purpose.”

Joe Jonas is going grocery shopping, walking along a busy commercial section of Hollywood. No one notices him, no tween girls shriek, as he weaves through the sidewalk traffic. Joe doesn't much look like a Jonas Brother anymore. Gone is his telltale luxurious sweep of black hair. Now it's cropped in a look one of his handlers likes to call "Top Gun-Tom Cruise," and he's wearing a rakish beard and mustache, along with skinny jeans that hang low enough to reveal the pattern on his boxers. These signs of testosterone seem to defy the boy band's squeaky-clean image—the three brothers wore "purity rings," pledging chastity until marriage. Joe, 21, looks all grown up. And there isn't a purity ring in sight.

"'Does anyone ever tell you you look like Joe Jonas?' I get that a lot," Joe says in his mild, soft-spoken way. "Or they'll say, 'You're so much cuter in person.' Or 'Where are your brothers?'" He laughs. "It's not like we wake up in the same bed."

Joe moved out of the home he shared with his parents and his brothers, Kevin, 23, and Nick, 18, a year and a half ago, to rent a house with some buddies in Los Feliz. But it was haunted, he says—"We'd hear footsteps"—and he often thought about getting his own place. Then, about nine months ago, he started dating Twilight star Ashley Greene, and the idea of a little privacy became more appealing. So last November, he found a bachelor pad in this part of town, which he likes because "it's like my mini New York. I got my gym a few blocks away"—where he's been working out five days a week with his trainer.

"I like to watch all the crazy characters in the neighborhood," he says. "I saw this gay homeless guy that got arrested. When the cops said, 'Spread 'em,' he was like, 'You'd like that, wouldn't you?'" Joe grins; he likes a good comeback.

In addition to hitting the gym regularly, Joe is also a fan of bars in the area, like the Bowery on Sunset, because it's "really laid-back." Wait a minute—didn't the Jonas Brothers, who provided the voices of cherubs in 2009's Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, swear off alcoholic beverages?

Yes, but that was back when Joe was living with his mom, Denise, and his dad, Kevin Sr., a former evangelical preacher who now comanages the band. It was also before Joe decided to do a solo album, the first single from which will be released next month.

"I'm growing up, the fans are growing up," Joe says. "I've gone through a lot of stuff in my life so far. There are stories I haven't really been able to tell. When you're writing with three people, you wind up with a sound that might be—not average—but, you know, expected."

The moment he walks into Trader Joe's, the sound system starts playing "Year 3000," a Jonas Brothers hit from their first album, 2006's It's About Time. The boys' cheerful guitar riffs and boisterous voices fill the giant store. "I didn't call and arrange this," Joe says, amused, as he grabs a cart.

Joe's apartment, a loft studio in a brand-new high-rise, is sizable, but it's modest for a young man who, with his brothers, made $35.5 million last year, putting them at No. 40 on the Forbes "Celebrity 100." There's a stunning 180-degree view of Los Angeles. There's a vintage Pac Man game, a Batman pinball machine, a Baldwin piano, and an 8-month-old English-bulldog puppy named Winston. There's a Warholesque painting of Mick Jagger by a local artist. Joe—who is known for his on-stage brio, his jumps and kicks and orgasmic facial contortions—has said that he idolizes the performance styles of Jagger and Freddie Mercury, "the big frontmen."

There's also a framed photograph of Joe and his brothers at the White House with President Obama and Paul McCartney—on the wall right by the front door, so you can't miss it. "I didn't know who to be more excited about," Joe says of the meeting, which took place last year when McCartney received the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The Jonas Brothers performed a cover of "Drive My Car" at the event.

"I heard [McCartney] told somebody, 'I want the new Beatles to come and play for me,'" Joe says, his chocolate-brown eyes growing wider.

Joe will tell you stories about famous rockers giving props to a band that the New York Times has called "among the most culturally important American rock bands of the last decade."

"Pat [Patrick Carney], the drummer for the Black Keys, I met him at a Kings of Leon concert in London"—coincidentally, it was at that same concert that Joe met Greene—"and he was like, 'I used to shit on you guys, but then I actually listened to your stuff, and you're so rad.'"

A Black Keys record is playing on Joe's turntable as he makes taco filling, simmering chicken in olive oil and lemonade. He's into cooking. After he got his own place, he says, "I fell in love with it. I became friends with a lot of chefs. I was a judge on Top Chef last year. It was a dream come true."

Then he pauses a moment; his thick, dark eyebrows knit together. He looks like a teenager again. "You know what? I forgot to get tortillas."

The taco filling winds up being wrapped into big pieces of lettuce—a fine, healthy, Asian-inspired solution. Joe stands at the counter as he tucks into his new culinary invention and starts talking excitedly about his solo album (which is as yet unnamed). He has been recording in L.A. for the past couple of months but says the idea came to him in the summer of 2009 when the JoBros were in Rome. "We were sitting in this beautiful Colosseum-looking hotel. And I was starting to think, 'I really wanna do a solo project.' My brother Nick did one. It wasn't really as big as..." Here he catches himself. Nick's solo album, Who I Am, released last year, received mixed reviews and sold fewer than 200,000 copies in the U.S.

"He wasn't really hoping for it to be huge," says Joe, who calls Nick "my best friend." "It was more for himself. He wanted to do a record that he really believed in. And so I was like, 'I would really like to make music that inspires me,' 'cause with the Jonas Brothers stuff, we can be constricted in what we can and cannot do.

"I wanted to do something you could hear in a club or something you could dance to, something that's fun—something that's me. I think it was definitely because I was getting older. But it was also a kind of a scary thought. 'Cause you go, 'I don't want to offend my brothers.' You know?"

But when he approached Nick and Kevin, they were all for it. He also got the blessing of Hollywood Records, the Jonas Brothers' label, which is owned by Disney and which sold 8.5 million copies of the band's last three albums—Jonas Brothers, A Little Bit Longer, and Lines, Vines and Trying Times.

But the boys in the band aren't really boys anymore, and the sales of their recent albums have slipped slightly. Their 2009 Disney Channel sitcom, Jonas L.A., didn't catch on with viewers and was canceled after two seasons. Their debut film, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, was a disappointment, earning just over $19 million.

The thinking at Disney HQ seems to be that a solo turn by Joe might be a way for the Brothers to recapture their maturing fan base and possibly develop a new one. "We're not breaking up, we're just taking a break," Joe says. "I really have a hope for the fans that got older and went, 'You know what, I'm really not into the Jonas Brothers anymore,' that I'm able to catch their ear again with my project and they're able to go, like, 'Hey, this is cool stuff, I'm happy listening to this, I'm not embarrassed listening to this.'"

"I'm wildly supportive," says Rich Ross, chairman of Walt Disney Studios. "Going solo is a very good idea for Joe at this age. It's like graduating from college."

But will Joe Jonas be believable as a real rock star? Can the fans ever forget that they loved him in fourth grade?

"I look at Joe's scenario as kind of like when Justin Timberlake broke out of 'N Sync," says Rob Knox, a producer working on Joe's solo project who previously teamed up with Rihanna and Jamie Foxx. "Justin was 21 when he came out as a solo artist. Joe is coming to producers who know how to create that edgier pop feeling. We're not doing any boy-band songs."

What they are doing, Joe says, is an eclectic mixture of "electro indie pop rock." "It's Joe's album, it's not just something put together for him," says Danja, another veteran producer on the project, whose past work includes Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSounds. "He's collaborating with the writing. He's very different from what you'd expect. All I can say is he's an adult man. He has a rock-star edge about him."

If Nick was always the cute Jonas, and Kevin the other Jonas, then Joe was the sexy one. The shrieks of the Brothers' 10,000-plus crowds are usually induced by his hip-swiveling-and-mic-twirling routine.

"Being on stage makes me come to life," Joe says. "When all eyes are on you, they're watching every move you make."

His gyrations have apparently caught the eyes of a number of fetching young female entertainers. He's dated the troubled Disney star Demi Lovato ("I wish her the best") and the actress Camilla Belle. Taylor Swift was so bitter after their breakup that she wrote a song about it ("Forever & Always") and went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, in 2008, to complain that Joe had dumped her in a phone call that lasted 27 seconds.

Joe countered by saying that it was Swift who had hung up on him. Now he says, "I think all artists have a right to write about what happens to them. But," he adds with a smile, "I have a right to write about things too."

He won't say whether his album will contain a Swift rebuttal—just that there will be songs about "different love scenarios that I've been through, breakups, hurts. Me hurting somebody and feeling bad about it. I think there's a lot of scenarios where people might wanna hear my side of the story."

But who would break up with Joe?

"Some guy," he says with a laugh.

It's a nod to the gay rumors he's been fending off ever since he got into a verbal altercation with some taunting paparazzi earlier this year. "There's nothing wrong with being gay," he says now, "but I'm not." Adding to the buzz, he dressed up in a leotard and heels and danced to "Single Ladies"—to comic effect—to square a sports bet with some buddies. He got the idea from his fans. The video of his performance got more than 25 million hits on YouTube.

But he really did have his heart broken; it was about two years ago, and the young woman was someone in the entertainment world. "I won't say her name," Joe says. "But I was in a relationship, and we tried to work things out, and she, you know—I was really upset because she—she broke up with me." A sadness lingers in his voice.

By contrast, his relationship with Ashley Greene, who's 24, "feels good," he says. "I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule. She'll fly out to my shows—she's been to places in South America that I can't even pronounce." And in January, he visited her in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, while she was shooting the next two installments of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn: Part I and Part II (Greene plays the psychic vampire Alice Cullen). He also flew to Jacksonville, Florida, to meet her parents. "Her dad can drink me to shame," Joe says. "He's awesome."

Times are changing for the Jonas Brothers, with Joe going solo (for now) and Kevin marrying Danielle Deleasa, a former hairdresser, in 2009. "Actually, I hit on her first," Joe says of meeting his future sister-in-law when the band of brothers were on vacation in the Bahamas. "And after that she and Kevin hit it off, of course. Now we have a fourth person traveling with us everywhere, so that's a different thing completely."

It's afternoon. Joe's driving his big black Mercedes G-Class down Sunset to the studio to work on his album. He's thinking about the days when he and his brothers and his dad toured the country with a trailer full of instruments, performing wherever they could. Success did not come easily, he says, and it got to the point where "we were about to say, 'This sucks—we don't want to do this anymore,' but then it all sort of started to happen for us."

And happen it did. "We've seen every state in America besides Alaska and Hawaii, been all over Europe. It's been so much fun." Sure, there have been times when it's gotten a little weird, rocking out for little girls. "We did some things that were like, 'Really? We're gonna do this? Like, go and play for an elementary school, are you serious?' At the time I was like, 'I'm 17, I wanna go meet girls at high schools.'

"And now I'm 21," Joe adds. "I wanna go play my music in a club."

Joe draws inspiration from one of his heroes—Bono—in moving forward with his dream: "I just want to believe that people are gonna really accept me for who I am and the music that I'm making now."

Joe went to see U2 play in Toronto last year. "After the show we got an e-mail saying Bono wants to invite you to the after-party. He comes waltzing in with his jean jacket buttoned down to here, pointing his finger at everybody. We hung out with him till three in the morning. He told me, 'The songs you write, really be honest, don't hold anything back. The reason for being an artist is you gotta be honest.' And I was like, 'Wow.'

"He said, 'I have countries that hate me, but I don't care. I have dictators that wanna put my head on a stick. So the next time you write a song, write from the heart, and really be honest, and don't be afraid of it.'"

Joe arrives at Henson Recording Studios—Charlie Chaplin's old studio. He parks the car. "When I was younger," he says, getting out, "I was always trying to make people satisfied with the way they thought I was supposed to be. And finally understanding that, in music, you can really be yourself and people accept you for who you are, that was a big thing to me." Work awaits, and as he heads inside, he adds: "I'm really excited to get the ball rolling and write some more stories in the book of craziness."

It's been a few years since the Jonas Brothers released Lines, Vines and Trying Times in 2009. Since then, they've focused on music for their various Disney projects and their own solo albums. When MTV News caught up with Nick Jonas, he admitted that he and his brothers are really taking their time to make sure their next album is the best it can be before they release anything new.

"I'd say that with all the projects we've released so far musically, we're very proud of them, and each one has been a step for us and has been a step of growth," he explained. "And when we go into the next one, we have it in the back of our minds knowing we're proud of everything we've made."

Jonas said he and his brothers are in a transitional stage of their careers, so they have to go big or go home. "Like anybody, with the next one, you have to step it up and make it great, and I think that we don't necessarily know what the sound is right now," he further explained. "And we're all kind of in different areas musically. I think that we don't have the same influences."

While they are on different musical paths right now, he said once they get into the studio, that old magic will be back. "When we come together, there's something special about it," he said. "Obviously, being brothers, it's that connection you can't explain when we do meet up. ... It'll just be a really special thing where it happens naturally, whatever that sound's supposed to be and whoever's supposed to produce it, whether it's pop, rock, dance, whatever. It's gonna be right, and we're taking our time on that."

For a guy who had his own show, has starred in hit Disney movies and made one funny cameo on "Mr. Sunshine" on Wednesday night, it's hard to believe that Nick Jonas doesn't think of himself as an actor.

"I think with anything, it helps to have a couple of experiences under your belt before you go and do something like a cameo or something like that," he told MTV News of his "JONAS" and "Camp Rock" experiences. "We were able to do a couple seasons of the TV show for Disney Channel and then two movies for them as well, so I've done some acting. But I would never really consider myself an actor.

"However, I do really enjoy it," the 18-year-old continued. "And when the right roles come up and when it's something I feel like I can contribute to in some way, I like doing it."

As much as he's unsure of his skills, he does have a bigger résumé than a lot of up-and-coming actors, and he's sure to get offered even more roles. "Maybe [I'll do more acting]. I think it's about taking it by steps, and as long as the role is right, then I'm down to do it," he said. "It's just about taking those next steps with everything — with music and acting."

Jonas also revealed that right now, he and his brothers are taking equally cautious steps on their next joint musical project. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research, proudly debuts a special unplugged performance by up-and-coming singer/songwriter Paris Carney and her song, “Life Jacket,” as part of the Foundation’s “Show Some Love” campaign. The video, which also features Greg “Garbo” Garbowsky, bass player for the Jonas Brothers, presents a heartfelt acoustic version of “Life Jacket,” which Paris dedicates to all children battling cancer. Celebrity blogger Zack Taylor reported that the "So Undercover" actress was spotted acting friendly with her 18-year-old ex at pre-Grammy party on February 12. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is hosting a four-day event early next month that will include the Concert for America – A Tribute to Ronald Reagan. The all-star show will take place in the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, Calif. "Got the news today, doctor said I had to stay, a little bit longer and I'll be fine....Waitin' on a cure, but none of them are sure, a little bit longer and I'll be fine....So I wait ‘til kingdom come, all the highs and lows are gone, a little bit longer and I'll be fine."

Nick began writing "A Little Bit Longer," his song about tribulations of any sort, at age 13, on the day he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He's been singing since he was only three years old, when he used to stand on the furniture and sing into a turkey baster microphone. A serious, well-behaved child who was homeschooled and rarely reprimanded, he entertained himself with music rather than toys: He'd put on musical shows for his family and charge $5 for tickets, a far cry from his sold-out shows today.

With both music and diabetes, Nick has come a long way since his diagnosis in November 2005. In 2007, the Jonas Brothers performed at a Diabetes Research Institute fundraiser in New York City. During the show, Nick asked his audience to raise their hands if they had diabetes. Then he raised his hand too, revealing to his fans for the first time that he had diabetes as well.

Since that time, Nick's become a shining light for type 1 diabetes, a charismatic advocate and fundraiser, and a real star with whom youngsters with diabetes can identify and from whom they can take comfort.

Nick's Change for the Children Foundation partners with five different charities to raise money and awareness for diabetes. He actually started the foundation when he was only about ten years old, before he even had diabetes. He says, "It started originally when I was doing some Broadway shows in New York City and seeing homeless families on the streets, and I wanted to do something for them. When I got diagnosed, the vision for the foundation changed a little bit to diabetes-oriented."

Since August 2008, Nick has been a diabetes ambassador with Bayer Diabetes Care, to help young people manage their diabetes and support them in giving back to their community (NicksSimpleWins.com). In June 2009, he met President Obama (and both the Obama daughters) when he went to Washington DC to testify before the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, along with Sugar Ray Leonard and Mary Tyler Moore.

Nick definitely sees himself as doing more advocacy in the future, perhaps even on a larger scale. As he says, "I still have diabetes and I'm probably going to have it for a while, unless there is a cure one day. You know, it's something that I'm passionate about, and I want to speak out about it. I've seen the effects it has on young people. They feel alone with their everyday struggles with diabetes, and they just want to have that assurance that they can live out their dreams with diabetes."

Nick also has good advice on how to handle yourself in order to make those dreams come true. For one thing, he stays physically active. He says, "I play a lot of sports, that's the main thing. Baseball is a big one. I think if I wasn't doing what I am today, I would be playing baseball. Ping pong on the road also keeps you somewhat active."

His diabetes self-care has come a long way in the five years that he has had diabetes. "It's about learning how to be prepared for it," he says. "Every day is different, so you have to be prepared for every situation, and have the right tools, and keep the right people around you who know what to do in emergency situations."

Nick's dreams are even bigger than being a pop star and diabetes advocate. He's also interested in working on Broadway, where he started his career, and in collaborating with other pop icons. He'd really like to work with Paul McCartney, whom he describes as "an amazing man and an amazing performer, and obviously he is quite a legend. It would be a pleasure playing with him." Regarding Broadway, he says, "There are a number of different roles I would like to play. It just would have to be the right time and the right thing. You never know where I might pop up."

That's something for us all to look forward to.

Happy New Year Everyone!

It is that time again for remembering 2010 and looking ahead to 2011. 2010 was a year filled with incredible memories and we wanted to thank YOU guys first for everything.

2009 had a grand finale with the marriage of Kevin and Danielle. It was a dream wedding and none of us or anyone that was there will ever forget how beautiful it was OR how amazing Kevin and Danielle are for each other.

We started the year 2010 with the release of Nick’s side project, WHO I AM by Nick Jonas and the Administration, and a tour of North America.

"Being able to go on tour and release an album with the Administration was truly a dream come true. I learned so much from each member of the Admin, and it was so much fun being with all of you (the fans) at every show. Knowing that I had the support of my brothers made the whole journey even more special."

Nick was featured on the cover of Parade Magazine highlighting his musical journey, along with being honored as Entertainer of the Year at the Young Hollywood Awards.

The first half of the year for the Jonas Brothers was spent filming the second season of our Disney TV show, JONAS LA. This brought us to LA, along with Macy (Nicole) and Stella (Chelsea). We are so thankful to all of the people that worked to make this season a success. In the summer, we released the soundtrack for JONAS LA.

After filming JONAS LA, we couldn’t wait to perform for our fans again and our performance at the Grove was unbelievable, performing past hits and the debut of LA Baby in front of a record breaking number of fans.

We also performed at Angel Stadium, Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day, and made our second sold out appearance at the Houston Rodeo (over 72,000 people for the second year in a row).

Nick was able to go to London this year to perform in the West End production of Les Miserables. This was in anticipation of him being involved later in the year in the 25th Anniversary Concert at the O2. He was amazing in the production and received rave reviews and he ended up extending his run.

2010 was filled with numerous guest appearances for Joe on top hit shows such as American Idol, 90210, Hot in Cleveland (Joe had a blast with Betty White and the rest of the cast!) and Top Chef. Joe also decided to take a long awaited humanitarian trip to Africa. He visited schools, orphanages, and even joined Prince William in an event related to the conservation efforts in Africa.

"Going to Africa was the greatest trip of my life thus far.. I am looking forward to going back. While I was there, I met some of the most amazing families, kids and adults. They inspired me tremendously. Their happiness and joy was so strong. Even when they had so little, it seemed like they had a great deal of a much more important piece.. Love.
I also got the chance to meet Price William. What a great person. Really cool to see what he is doing in Africa with his humanitarian groups.”

He also got to see some of the World Cup in South Africa (another dream come true) during that trip.

Being able to do what we can for the community has always been close to our hearts. And along with Joe being a part of Special Olympics events and the iWin Fun Runs, we also took part in the Hope for Haiti telethon, (RED) campaign, and continued our work for Friends for Change, and of course, the Jonas Brothers Change for the Children Foundation. Taking part in these types of causes was such a blessing and more than enough for us, but we were so honored to have been recognized at the DoSomething Awards and by the TJ Martell Foundation.

Kevin was a guest on Minute to Win It and he won the most money in the show’s history and donated it all to charity. He was AWESOME and had incredible ratings. He also had the opportunity to be on MTV’s When I Was 17 and shared his memories of back when he was a teenager. Kevin and Danielle also took time to spend with each other during the break, sharing their newlywed life together with their fans through People Magazine, USA Today, etc.

In July, we started our North American tour in amphitheaters in the US and Canada. This is the best part of what we do…SEEING THE FANS AND WATCHING THEIR INSPIRATION AND LOVE.

We also had the great honor to perform at the White House to honor Paul McCartney for the George Gershwin Prize, an experience that will never be forgotten – performing a song written by the legend in front of the man himself. Earlier in the year, we took part in another historical event, the re-recording of We Are the World with Lionel Richie, Quincy Jones, and many top artists of today.

In September, Camp Rock 2 – The Final Jam came out. It was the #1 Cable Movie of 2010, which just won the People’s Choice Award. We were also nominated for an Emmy for JONAS earlier in the year.

Nick went back to London during the break between the North and South American sections of the tour to perform in the 25th Anniversary of Les Miserables at London’s O2 Arena. He performed alongside some of the world’s most talented and well-known performers. Nick had performed on Broadway as a child in the original production of Les Miserable and it was truly a dream come true for him to play Marius.

Following Nick’s Les Miserables performance, we left for Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Latin and South America, and performed and got to meet our fans in Abu Dhabi for the first time. Once again, the fans and concerts were amazing.

Joe Jonas Wants Fans to Dance to Solo Album

The Jonas Brothers always seem to stand by one another, even if that means stepping away from the trio to try out new projects. Last year, Joe and Kevin gave Nick their blessing when he released a solo LP. And now that Joe is working on new music, his brothers are showing him the same support.

"I think there's a lot of emotions that I feel about doing my solo project. I think I was nervous in the beginning," Joe told MTV News when we visited him and producer Danja at the studio.

"I wanted to have my brothers' support, and the fact they're both so excited for me and they've been wanting this for me for a long time [is great]."

As part of Nick Jonas and the Administration, Nick released the bluesy, pop rock album Who I Am in 2010, but Joe's project will likely have a different sound.

"To be able to go on a musical journey for a while and finally, with finding Danja and working with him, we've been able to collaborate on something that really works for me," Joe explained. "And [to] find me and not try to mold it into something it's not, to try and be myself and my music and kind of tell stories and be honest and just have something ... [that] when people hear it, hopefully they'll be able to dance to it and have a good time."

While their solo musical directions may differ, Joe said he learned some things from Nick.

"I think the biggest thing that I saw from [Nick], he just had a good time," he said. "He made a record that was for him and this one is for me and my fans. To be able to get in here everyday and just vibe out, we're all just having a great time in here. The biggest piece is that I'm on the journey. ... It's just gonna be a fun vibe to everything."

In a piece of the interview Joe talks about how much he was inspired to create some of the music after watching the new movie “TRON: Legacy” from Walt Disney Pictures, and after hearing the movies’ soundtrack created by Daft Punk.

Ashley Greene showed off her brand new pup Theodore yesterday, much to our delight. But while we were happy for Ashley and Marlo’s new friend, Joe Jonas had some troublesome news in the dog department — his Winston was in surgery!

In the same hour that Joe gave us updates on Winston’s successful surgery following his tummy issues, Ashley posted another photo of Marlo and Theo playing. “Theo and Marlo …. How adorable are they!? They make my day start and end with smiles!!” she tweeted.

One of Joe’s fans @MrsHeadstrong scolded Ashley saying “really come on! how about Wiston[sic]? #PrayForWinston”. Ashley was quick to respond with an apology: “Sorry I haven’t said it already!! THANK YOU to everyone who kept Winston in your thoughts and prayers. Little man has been through a lot!”

So many puppies to keep straight! But we’re glad Winston pulled through and now he can join Theo and Marlo on their playdates.

We heard a rumor on Twitter today that someone is spreading it around that the Jo Bros will be doing a farewell tour this year indicating that the Jonas Brothers as a group is history. That rumor is completely false as Hollywood Records has told us that there has been no announcement of any tour information for the Jo Bros. The spokesperson for Hollywood Records comfirmed that Joe would be touring in support of his upcoming CD.

“Joe will be performing to support his CD. No Jonas related tour news has been announced,” the spokesperson told us in response to our e-mail.

Unless you see tour info posted on the Jo Bros’ Official sites or they tweet it on Twitter then don’t believe everything you may hear. So are you excited to find out that Joe will be doing a solo tour?

Happy Holidays everyone!
What a wonderful month December has been. It’s great to be in one place for an extended period of time; especially as I have been busy in the studio working with my team on some amazing projects.
This is the time of the year when all those desserts come out for the Holiday Season, so I need to test regularly, and make sure I take the right amount of insulin so no Holiday Festivities are interrupted by irregular highs and lows. I find testing with my Contour® USB meter makes it easy to enjoy the things I like over the Holidays.

Is everyone ready for new Jonas Brothers music like we are?

Nick, Joe and Kevin recently chatted with Pennsylvania’s The Morning Call about possibly releasing an album in 2011.

Kevin revealed, “we’re just making the music that we love. And of course being an artist there’s always time to try and reinvent yourself and make what you have fresh, and I think that’s goal for every artist out there.”

“As far as the next Jonas Brothers album, I think we’re working right now on what that’s going to sound like,” Nick added, “Just you know, taking our time and really trying to make something great, no matter how long it takes. Hopefully, 2011 is the timeline, but we’re not sure just yet.”

Joe is already embarking on a solo album for later 2011.

So tell me about touring with the Jonas Brothers. Any secrets you can spill?
Well, during his workout sessions before the shows, Joe would wear like five layers of trash bags that would help burn that many more calories as a way of punishing himself in case he was eating really unhealthy beforehand. But he was always training and like super focused, super amped and excited.
What’s he like behind closed doors with his GF Ashley Greene?
I haven’t really seen or heard much about Twilight, so I had no preconceptions or anything [of Ashley].But she’s so genuine. I felt like she and I would’ve been in the same high school in Ohio. She’s really down to Earth, very welcoming, super adaptable to any situation, didn’t try and steal the spotlight, definitely knew her place while we were on tour. They have a way of communicating with each other which is really beautiful. I think they met each other at a right time in their lives.
Love that! Ok, back to the JoBros. What was the best part of touring with them?
The final show in Argentina, we were in front of 65,000 people. It was the same stage that Paul McCartney played on 2 days before. I got to choreograph the dancers into “Burning Up,” so it was really neat to see everyone performing a routine that I helped create during the final few shows.

Almost anybody that reads news and/or has kids has heard of the Jonas Brothers. Even if you’re just into country music and not the pop kind that the Jonas Brothers perform, you’ve at least heard of Joe Jonas, thanks to Taylor Swift. But there’s another Jonas brother that is starting to come into his own lately…and that is Frankie Jonas. He’s 10 and he has already broken up with a girl…so watch out, I think we have another heart throb in the making!
Frankie Jonas has been working on the Disney Channel, first in the now-cancelled show “Jonas L.A.” and then in the show “Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream,” which has had two seasons and a third season has not been confirmed. He also did the voice of Sosuke in the English adaptation of the anime film “Ponyo.” That is where he met his first girlfriend Noah Cyrus (yes, Miley’s little sister), with whom he has reportedly broken up, but that fact is not confirmed as of this publishing. It seems the youngest Jonas brother is almost as hard to find information about as some of the older celebrities!
