The tour is also being photographed for the fall release of Jonas Brothers’ first book published by the Disney Book Group.
Reviews for A Little Bit Longer have been glowing as well. Rolling Stone’s 4 star lead review raves, “The boys’ fantastic third album is steeped in the fuzzed-up guitars, three-part harmonies, and cotton-candy choruses of Big Star and Cheap Trick.” Blender’s four star lead review touted, “Jonas Brothers are basically like the Beatles, only more talented and sooo much cuter.”
Jonas Brothers started their summer with the premiere of Disney Channel’s Original Movie “Camp Rock.” It has now reached over 38.5 million unduplicated viewers in the U.S., Canada and Latin America and is rolling out across Europe next month. "Camp Rock" Extended Rock Star Edition debuted on DVD this week in the U.S. Their short form reality series, “Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream, ” airs on Disney Channels worldwide and they begin production on the comedy series "J.O.N.A.S." next month for premiere in spring 2009 on Disney Channel.
With all the frenzy surrounding them, Jonas Brothers still make time to give back. Jonas Brothers started their own foundation, Change for the Children (see www.changeforthechildren.org) to support programs that motivate and inspire children to face adversity with confidence, determination and a will to succeed. Supporting children with Diabetes will be an important focus of the foundation, given that Nick Jonas was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Nick recently announced his partnership with Bayer with their My CONTOUR Meter and the launch of www.nickssimplewins.com where Nick gives simple every day tips for managing diabetes. The current initiative of the foundation is “YOU Decide. YOU Donate” which empowers their fans to research and support one of five participating charities. As part of their commitment to this program, the Jonas Brothers have provided a $10,000 grant to each of the five organizations involved. During the “Burning Up” tour, Jonas Brothers have been auctioning tickets and meet & greet passes through www.charityfolks.com to raise money for the foundation, which has yielded over $275,000 to date. A special Nick Jonas t-shirt is being sold at the concerts as well, raising additional dollars for Change for the Children. Sales from the t-shirt have netted over $420,000.
Yet their energy is still boundless. While on tour, Jonas Brothers are already recording new material on a Verizon tour bus specially outfitted with a recording studio. They have also leant their talent to other artists, having co-written and co-produced several songs on their “Camp Rock” co-star Demi Lovato’s debut album.
Jonas Brothers certainly have been living their dream to the fullest. With a # 1 album, yet another dream is fulfilled.
