What Slump? The Jonas Brothers are on Top of the World

Remember how, when the Jonas Brothers' movie underperformed a few months back, everyone was shouting about it being the end of the sibling squad's career.

Well, the doomsayers can suck it (at least for now, more on that later): Those JoBros are No. 1.

For the second time in 10 months, the Disney-backed trio opened on top of the album charts, with their latest, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, selling 247,000 copies, per Nielsen SoundScan.

While that was easily enough to dominate all comers last week, it wasn't without an asterisk...

Kevin, Joe and Nick's previous chart topper, last August's A Little Bit Longer, debuted with nearly twice the sales of Lines.

Anyhow, following a series of dates in South America and Western Europe, the bros kicked off the North American leg of their world tour on Saturday at the new Dallas Cowboys stadium. Miley Cyrus made a cameo, performing the Lines duet Before the Storm.

With the Jonases on top, the Black Eyed Peas slipped to No. 2, selling 148,000 copies of The E.N.D. It had been their first-ever chart topper.

Incubus last cracked the charts three years ago when Light Grenades exploded at No. 1, and while the band has been on a relative break as of late, its double-disc retrospective, Monuments and Melodies, debuted at No. 5, selling 70,000.

Overall sales were up 7 percent from last week, but down 19 percent compared with the same week last year.

Here's a Top 10 recap:

Lines, Vines and Trying Times, Jonas Brothers
The E.N.D., Black Eyed Peas
Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, Dave Matthews Band
Relapse, Eminem
Monuments and Melodies, Incubus
The Fame, Lady GaGa

21st Century Breakdown, Green Day
