Tweens get your iPhones out. The heartthrob songsters of the Jonas Brothers are part of a new application that will beam videos of the band straight to your mobile phone.
Cambio Mobile is the latest launch of the Jonas Group (founded by the boys' father, Kevin Jonas Sr.). Jonas partnered with AOL and MGX Lab. Cambio is the Group's Internet interpretation of an MTV-like channel. Teenagers can log on and their favorite squeaky-clean music act contribute to a charity, listen to a band performance or follow a model around New York on her day at work. The site even has an MTV ex-anchor at the helm: Quddus, a former veejay.
The site is like a bigger, broader YouTube: It streams content from artists straight to fans without the interference of a network. It's also another boon for AOL in its continued quest to create original content.
There are more bands and musicians featured on the site than the Jonas Brothers, but I wonder if other artists will create these more personalized shows to present their music.
Until then, if you need a sampling of adorable boy-band goodness, download the app to get your sugar fix.
